The Racialized Reflective Practice Learning Collaborative sets the stage for a reflective space for IECMH leaders to gather with their peers to dive deeply and gently into Racialized Reflective Practice through the pages of "Reflective Practice through a Racialized Lens: My Hero's Journey". Equal parts “book club”, reflective discussion, and in-vivo experientials, we invite you to join us for this pilot offering. Participants will spend quality time with the authors and recap workbook chapters, actively engage in guided self-care practices, and vulnerably share in group discussions related to themes of race, relationships, and cultural angels in the nursery with particular attention to how it relates to our IECMH work. This learning collaborative explores the internal processes of self-reflection, particularly around race, culture, and location of self. Participants will practice with culturally sensitive, relationship-based tools specific to building capacity to lead others in racialized reflective practice in child-serving systems.
*all participants are required to have a copy of the workbook (available here) and to provide pre/post survey feedback to facilitators to improve future offerings to IECMH folks
