Margaret O’Connell
I show up in this world as a middle aged white woman growing my awareness of how my identities, privileges may be helpful or limiting. I was raised primarily by my mother-an immigrant woman who left school at twelve working so much of her life to protect her five children working long hours while building ways to unburden herself from the many isms she faced. I began my journey as a New York City School Teacher (MSEd) as a Gen. Ed and Special Education Teacher. In the past ten years, I have worked as a Social Worker (LCSW) offering support in Head Start Programs, Trauma Informed Therapeutic Childcare, Birth to Three, Consultation for Preschools and Clinicians, Reflective Supervision Consultation, Training/Facilitation with CTAIMH and as a Clinician for children and adults.
